Research Database
Structured records of smoking cessation research. Every record captures the same core fields — title, authors, year, journal, DOI/PMID (when available), research type, population, intervention, comparator, main question, findings, limitations, evidence strength, relevance and a last-verified date.
Sourcing rule: records are created only from published, citable sources (journals, Cochrane, WHO, national agencies). No record, statistic or DOI on this site is invented. If a field was not available in the source, it is marked Not reported.
Evidence hierarchy used across this platform
| Level | Source type | Example |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Systematic review / meta-analysis of RCTs | Cochrane reviews |
| 2 | Randomized controlled trial | EAGLES, Hajek 2019 |
| 3 | Cohort / observational study | Jha 2013 |
| 4 | Clinical guideline (GRADE-based) | WHO 2024, USPHS |
| 5 | Government / public-health source | Surgeon General reports |
| 6 | Community experience | Quit Smoking Hub experience database |
Levels 1–5 are scientific evidence. Level 6 (community experience) is not medical evidence and is never presented as such.
